About me, and my items TOP

Even though I work very fast, and will crochet *almost* anything, I'm not a superstore :) I am just one stay-at-home Mom, filling each order in my spare time. I am a Type A personality, I am very organized, and I have a strong background in Business Management, Operations Management, and Customer Service. I am a military spouse, and thoroughly enjoy living overseas and raising my children. I am a serious entrepreneur and am very thankful to be enjoying my favorite craft as a business venture.

Every single one of my items can be replicated, however, minor differences may be incorporated periodically; I may slightly change colors, embellishments, buttons, or styles based on what materials are available at the time an order is placed. Also, because I strive to assure my garments are always fashionable and functional, I may upgrade a style or technique as I fill your order. Therefore, while I have been fortunate enough to have so many professional pictures of my garments in use, please know that each order will be filled with the best materials, styles, and techniques currently available and may not be a perfect match to what is shown. Finally, please know that I will always assure pictures of your completed items are available to you for your approval and satisfaction.

*Every listing available in my shop is a custom order - this means you are purchasing a replica of the pictured items, and your order will be hand made after your order is funded*

Hat Sizing TOP

Head sizes differ greatly, and choosing a size based on age may not be a perfect match for every customer.

To measure for your best fit, take a tape measurer and wrap it around your subject's head from mid forehead all the way around (be sure the tape is above the ears). This will give you the approximate hat circumference. The approximate hat length is the measurement from the crown of the hat to the border.  Please note that these sizes measure the actual hat, and comfortable stretch will occure to assure a perfect fit.

Materials TOP

With all my years of experience, I do have some yarns that I favor. Here are some of the yarns I use most frequently, their fiber content, and general care instructions:

Cotton Blend: Combines the absorbancy of cotton with the lightweight appeal of acrylic. A breathable material with form and flexability that is fantastic for garments that will be worn close to the skin. 50% Cotton, 50% Acrylic.

Virgin Wool: Warm and naturally water resistant. A bit rough at first, but wears beautifully and softens with use. Great for garments that will be used freequently. 100% Pure Virgin Wool with natural lanolin oil.

Acrylic: Vibrant, durable, and super soft to the touch, this is my favorite all purpose yarn. This material is especially perfect for daily use and wear. 100% soft grade Acrylic.

Care Instructions for all garments:

While I trust the durability of the fibers I use and the craftsmanship of my work, I strongly suggest that each of my crochet items be either dry cleaned or hand washed and rolled flat to dry. These measures assure your products will maintain their shape and color, and will keep your garment looking fresh and new for a much longer period of time.

Expedited Processing / Shipping TOP

I will never skip an order to fill an order, however,  I do work overtime periodically. If you need your order sooner than my regular schedule allows, here is what I can offer:

1. Expedite the processing of your order: For an extra fee per item (check this option in my shop for details), I can complete an order much sooner than my regular schedule allows. Shipping will be sent First Class or Priority (depending on weight) and may take up to 14 days in transit. Please note that this option does not expedite the shipping of your order, only the processing of your item.

2. Express ship your order: For an extra fee per item (the cost of express shipping, based on weight / size), I can have your order express shipped to arrive to you within 3 business days. Your original schedule of availability still applies. Please note that this option does not expedite the processing of your order, only the shipping method.
